Meet Kota James 

I'm Kota James, licensed cosmetologist, professional makeup artist, and founder of MADE by Kota James. What began as a passion for beauty became my mission: creating an inclusive space where every client feels seen, celebrated, and confident in their own skin.

As a woman of color, I understand how meaningful it is to work with an artist who recognizes and appreciates the beauty of diverse skin tones, features, and experiences. That perspective shapes every service I provide and remains one of the driving forces behind my work today.

Based in Dallas, Texas, I proudly serve clients throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex and beyond, offering bridal, event, editorial, corporate, and educational makeup services.​
